V's anger towards S after the defeats: "Now it's war, then"

Four years ago, the speaker election was a success story for V. Then they got help to overthrow the Sweden Democrats and the Left Party's candidate won the post of second vice speaker.

This time the situation was the exact opposite.

The elections for vice presidents were a defeat for V and they lost their post of president.

The Sweden Democrats' Julia Kronlid became second deputy speaker instead of the opposing candidate Janine Alm Ericson (Mp).

S and C had declared before the vote that they would vote blank.

- It is regrettable that the Center Party chooses to increase the level of conflict against us instead of rallying around a rival candidate against the Sweden Democrats, says Dadgostar.

In addition, the Center Party's Kerstin Lundgren was unexpectedly elected third deputy speaker ahead of the Left Party's Lotta Johnsson Fornarve after over 30 members of parliament who are not Center Party members unexpectedly broke the party line and voted for Lundgren.

The election of the Speaker takes place in secret, so it is not possible to know how individual members have voted.

But V suspects that S had a hand in the game, something that the Social Democrats have not confirmed.

- They go through fire and water to save the Center Party.
