News from our newspaper (Reporter Lei Jia) Tsinghua University recently released the 2023 admissions guidelines for special types such as recommended students for competitions and foreign languages, and high-level art troupes.
Among them, the competition-type recommended students involving Beijing candidates are still limited to fresh high school graduates who have been selected for the national training team of the five universities; while the high-level art troupe will be selected through the college entrance examination in the final year.
Tsinghua University’s 2023 competition category recommended students are recruited from outstanding high school graduates who have obtained the qualifications for recommended students in the five disciplines Olympiads (mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, and informatics) that meet the requirements of the Ministry of Education.
According to the regulations of the Ministry of Education, the national training team that needs to be selected into the five major disciplines is eligible for recommendation.
Candidates need to register online and fill in the application form in the registration system. After completing the filling, please print the application form and stamp it with the official seal of the middle school after verification by the middle school, scan and upload it and submit it (the application materials do not need to be mailed).
Tsinghua University will organize an expert group to comprehensively evaluate the materials of the applicants, and select the best candidates for recommendation.
The results of the identification will be discussed and approved by the Tsinghua University Admissions Leading Group and will take effect after being announced in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Education.
Candidates who are finally recognized as Tsinghua recommended students in this recommended selection are not required to participate in other selection tests.
In 2023, the recommended foreign language students will still be recruited from outstanding high school graduates from foreign language middle schools who meet the requirements of the Ministry of Education. No more than 66 people are planned.
