According to him, Zelensky's Western allies are keeping Kyiv from further escalation in order to avoid being drawn into a conflict with Russia.

He noted that the Ukrainian government should prepare for compromises, including the “loss of Crimea.”

Earlier, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu expressed confidence that Western countries should convince the Kyiv authorities to sit down at the negotiating table with Russia.
