Right now around 400 people on Gotland are participating in the exercise called "Tule".
Among other things, a surgical team from the 2nd hospital company in Gothenburg is on site.
This kind of healthcare competence and equipment will in future be recruited to the Gotland regiment, P18.
It has now become clear that the defense's war organization on the island is to be strengthened with a field hospital.
- The 2nd hospital company is a mobilizing unit, which means that we will need to employ temporary staff.
This means that they work in the armed forces during high alert or war, says Magnus Frykvall, head of Gotland's regiment.
