Municipal director Lars Fröding on the fish counter in Hertingforsen: "The tax money should land where it belongs"

With 70,000 views so far this year, the fish counter in Hertingforsen in Ätran, Falkenberg municipality, is popular.

Anglers are now criticizing Falkenberg's municipality withdrawing from the funding.

The fish counter is also considered important from an environmental and research point of view, according to the Swedish University of Agriculture and the Swedish Maritime and Water Authority, as it monitors the stock of red-listed species, such as salmon.

The municipal director Lars Fröding agrees that the calculator is needed, but no longer thinks it is the municipality's responsibility to pay for the money.
