Despite the peace initiatives undertaken by sub-regional organizations, the tension does not weaken between Paul Kagame and
Felix Tshisekedi
.
The Congolese president
accuses his Rwandan counterpart of attacking his country
and arming the M23 fighters, which Kigali formally denies.
In front of 250 young people from 26 provinces of the country, Felix Tshisekedi called on the Congolese to make the difference between the Rwandan people and the regime of Paul Kagame.
“
They need our help to break free.
It has nothing to do with what their leaders are imposing on them.
So don't look at them as enemies but as brothers who need our solidarity to rid us and Africa of this kind of backsliding rulers
,” he said.
It is the Rwandan regime, with Paul Kagame at its head, which is the enemy of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Felix Tshisekedi, Congolese President
" It is shameful.
Diabolical.
»
Regarding the accusations of aggression brought by Kinshasa against Kigali,
Paul Kagame
had denied any desire, he said, to wage war on the
DRC
.
However, he had dropped a sentence that had a lot of talk in Kinshasa: “ I heard
someone (…) say, I do not exclude a war with Rwanda.
If you are looking for someone who is knowledgeable in war, please come to me
”.
Words to which the Congolese president responded this Saturday.
“
He prides himself on being a warmaker, a specialist in warfare.
He is proud of it, me in his place, I would hide, I would be ashamed to assume the fact that we sow death and desolation, ”
he said.
And to add:
“It is shameful.
I would even say diabolical

It remains to be seen how, after this verbal escalation, the Kenyan and Angolan facilitators will manage to advance the roadmap for peace in eastern DRC signed by the leaders of the sub-region, including the Congolese and the Rwandans. .
