While inflation continues to plague France, some French people pay particular attention to daily expenses.

They are even quite a majority to say "to the nearest euro" for certain specific expenses.

Many of them have changed their consumption habits.

In this inflationary environment, every expense counts.

In any case, this is the state of mind in which the majority of our fellow citizens find themselves as the holidays approach.

According to an Ifop study, 9 out of 10 French people say they are "vigilant" about their "small" daily expenses.

Many of them even admit to being to the nearest euro for certain purchases.

Europe 1 notably met Lili, a 74-year-old retiree.

With the rise in prices, she no longer goes to the restaurant as often as before.

"Now I go once every two months. Before it was once every three weeks with a girlfriend. I prefer to go less but always go to places that I like".

“Expenses that we are not going to make”

For his part Anoush, 48, at the head of a small business admits having changed the way he does food shopping in recent months.

"There are expenses that we are not going to make. We are not going to complain about the quality but we are going to save on the volume of purchases. We buy what we bought before but we buy a little less", admits this father.
