As previously stated in the Belarusian Defense Ministry, the countries signed a protocol of agreement on the joint provision of regional security in the military sphere.
"Moscow and Minsk are amending the Russian-Belarusian interstate agreement on the joint provision of regional security in the military sphere," the Russian Defense Ministry said.
As the head of the department Sergei Shoigu recalled, at present, in accordance with the decision of the presidents of the two countries, actions are being taken on the territory of Belarus for the combat coordination of Russian and Belarusian formations and military units assigned to the regional group of troops.
The minister also said that Moscow highly appreciates the determination of Belarus to resist the hostile course that the United States has chosen towards Russia.
