The UN envoy for peace in the Middle East, Tor Wiensland, denounced the execution of a Palestinian youth from zero distance by an Israeli soldier's bullets, in the town of Hawara, south of Nablus, on Friday.

Wensland said - in a tweet on Twitter - "I was horrified by the killing of the Palestinian youth, Ammar Mufleh, during a fight with an Israeli soldier in the West Bank."

"Similar incidents must be fully and promptly investigated and those responsible held accountable," he added.

In the context, the European Union called - yesterday, Friday - for an investigation into the civilian casualties in the West Bank and for ensuring accountability.

The union said - in a tweet published by the Jerusalem office on Twitter - that "Israeli forces have killed 10 Palestinians in the last 72 hours only, in what appears to be an excessive use of lethal force."

The Union expressed its deep concern about the escalating level of violence in the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, noting that the year 2022 is the bloodiest year since 2006.

French concern

Meanwhile, the French Foreign Ministry said - yesterday, Friday - that "the increasing violence against Palestinians in the West Bank must be stopped and those responsible for violations must be held accountable."

In a statement, the French Foreign Ministry expressed its deep concern in the aftermath of the numerous clashes that took place since last November 29 in various parts of the West Bank, which led to the death of 5 Palestinians.

Paris also affirmed its commitment to respecting international humanitarian law in the areas under Israeli occupation, and the illegal nature of settlements, according to the same statement.

Execution from distance zero

The town of Hawara (south of Nablus) - this morning, Saturday - witnessed a comprehensive closure, mourning the soul of the martyr Ammar Mufleh (22 years), who was executed by an Israeli soldier yesterday, Friday, and the occupation forces still refuse to hand over his body.

And the Palestinian News Agency (Wafa) reported that an Israeli soldier executed a Palestinian youth with live bullets from zero distance, south of Nablus in the occupied West Bank.

And the Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that the General Authority for Civil Affairs had informed it of the death of a citizen after the occupation forces shot him in Hawara.

The Israeli version says: Attempted stabbing.

The truth: a Palestinian youth tries to evade arrest, and a soldier shoots and kills him from zero distance, after his weapon fell away from the youth.

We will think that it is good to have this documentation .. but what is the difference?

what is the difference!?

A video clip of the incident - circulated by Palestinian pages on social networks - showed that an Israeli soldier jostled with one of the Palestinians, before the soldier fired from zero distance at the Palestinian.

Wafa reported that the Israeli occupation soldiers prevented citizens and ambulances from approaching the young man while he was lying on the ground.

Before Mufleh's death, the Israeli army killed 9 Palestinians during the past few days in Ramallah, Jenin and Hebron in the occupied West Bank.

The lions' den calls for an escalation

For its part, the Lions' Den group in Nablus mourned the martyr Ammar Mufleh, who was "executed in the most horrific ways in the steadfast town of Hawara."

The group affirmed that the blood of the martyr Muflih "will only serve as fuel for our glorious revolution and resistance."

The Lions' Den also called for taking to the streets and closing roads in the West Bank to settlers and occupation soldiers.

The Lions' Den group said - in a statement on its Telegram channel - that "the closure of the roads causes them terror and hysteria and disrupts their supplies," stressing that "the coming days are difficult, but they bear good news."

The Palestinian presidency condemns

The Palestinian Presidency, the Prime Ministry and a number of Palestinian factions condemned the execution of the young Israeli army, Mufleh.

The Palestinian Presidency said, "The cold-blooded execution of the young man, Ammar Hamdi Mufleh, by the Israeli occupation in the town of Hawara... is a heinous crime within a series of crimes that are committed daily against our people."

She pointed out that the continued international silence led to the cold-blooded commission of such crimes.

In turn, Palestinian Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh said, "The scene of the criminal execution in Hawara reflects the organized terrorism practiced by the occupation soldiers, motivated by a belief based on killing, by shooting our sons to kill them."

The death toll since the beginning of this year has risen to 211 in the West Bank and Gaza (Anatolia)

Shtayyeh added, "The soldiers' feeling that there are no consequences for their actions encourages them to repeat their crimes."

For its part, the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) said that this heinous crime in Nablus will be met with more resistance and victory for the blood of our people, and the enemy will pay the price for its crimes.

The Palestinian National Liberation Movement (Fatah) also expressed its condemnation of the crime of executing the young Mufleh, noting that "this crime expresses the policy of the new fascist government in Israel."

The death toll from the beginning of this year until today, Saturday, has risen to 211, including 153 in the West Bank and 52 in the Gaza Strip.
