During a special operation, the Russian armed forces hit two locations of foreign mercenaries, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

“In the area of ​​​​the settlement of Kramatorsk of the Donetsk People’s Republic, two points of temporary deployment of foreign mercenaries were hit,” the official representative of the department, Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov, said during a briefing.

Aviation, rocket troops and artillery attacked three enemy command posts located on the territory of the DPR and in the Kharkiv region.

74 artillery units in firing positions, manpower and military equipment in 195 districts were hit.

In addition, a US-made AN/TPQ-37 counter-battery radar was hit in the DPR.

In Kharkiv and Zaporozhye regions, two depots of rocket and artillery weapons and ammunition of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were destroyed.

Fighter aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces shot down a Mi-8 helicopter of the Ukrainian Air Force.

In addition, ten Ukrainian drones were shot down by means of air defense in a day.

Along with this, eight HIMARS and Alder multiple rocket launchers were intercepted.

According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, an attempt to attack the enemy was prevented in the Kupyansk direction.

Russian troops inflicted a preemptive strike on the Armed Forces of Ukraine with army aviation, as well as artillery and heavy flamethrower systems.

Up to 60 Ukrainian servicemen, two tanks, an infantry fighting vehicle, three armored personnel carriers and four pickup trucks were destroyed.

In addition, an attempt by the Armed Forces of Ukraine to attack in the directions of several settlements of the Luhansk People's Republic was thwarted in the Krasnolimansky direction.

The enemy units were stopped and dispersed as a result of army aviation strikes and artillery fire.

The enemy lost more than 30 servicemen, two infantry fighting vehicles and three Kozak armored vehicles.

In the Donetsk direction, the Armed Forces of Ukraine made unsuccessful attempts to restore the position of their troops in the areas of Andreevka, Kurdyumovka, Avdeevka and Maryinka.

As a result of the inflicted fire damage, up to 60 Ukrainian servicemen, two tanks and five armored combat vehicles were destroyed per day, the Russian Defense Ministry added.

In turn, in the South Donetsk direction, the enemy made attempts to counterattack, but the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were stopped and thrown back to their original positions by assault aircraft and artillery fire.

The enemy lost more than 40 soldiers killed and wounded.

Along with this, two infantry fighting vehicles and five vehicles were destroyed.

The head of the National Guard visited the LPR

The head of the Russian Guard, Viktor Zolotov, visited the divisions of the department in the Lugansk People's Republic.

During the visit, Zolotov checked the organization of service and combat activities, assessed the conditions of service and life of employees and servicemen of the department.

He also talked to the personnel, paying special attention to providing the National Guard with modern weapons and equipment.

The head of the Russian Guard was also shown captured military equipment, weapons and extremist literature, which was used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine for propaganda purposes.

In addition, Zolotov presented state awards, including the Order of Courage, medals of the Order of Merit to the Fatherland, Suvorov's medals and medals "For Courage", to the Russian Guardsmen who distinguished themselves during the SVO.

Cache with mines of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kherson region 

The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Kherson region announced the discovery of a cache of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with mines and grenades in the region.

As follows from the publication, police officers discovered the cache while checking operational information about the illegal storage of weapons and ammunition in the vicinity of one of the villages in the region.

It is specified that the cache contained 12 OZM-72 anti-personnel mines with fuses, four 152-mm artillery rounds and an RGD-5 grenade.

It is noted that the ammunition has been seized, and an investigation is underway.
