Emmanuel Macron is completing a three-day state visit to the United States by promoting the Francophonie in New Orleans, a symbolic place for Franco-American relations.

At the end of his visit, the president notes a positive assessment, despite the lack of concrete commitments from Joe Biden on the American anti-inflation plan.

The day after a sumptuous reception at the White House, it was in Louisiana, a land steeped in Franco-American history, that Emmanuel Macron ended his state visit to the United States.

The President of the Republic went to the emblematic city of New Orleans to promote the Francophonie.

It is all smiles that the head of state strolled through the famous French quarter.

The balance sheet, "it is very good"

After Washington and its freezing cold, the temperature rises a notch in New Orleans: 25 degrees on the thermometer, not to mention a warm and much livelier atmosphere, with jazz bands on every street corner.

"The goal is that the European Union, in fact, has a treatment and can have exemptions. By the beginning of next year, we must have been able to settle this subject. So, for me, it's in the first quarter of 2023 that we have to finalize these subjects."
