Yesterday, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Jordan's King Abdullah II stressed the need to provide full support to the Palestinians to obtain their just and legitimate rights, and the importance of intensifying efforts to achieve a just and comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution.

This came during talks held by Sisi and King Abdullah II in Cairo, "they dealt with the strong relations between the two countries, and developments in the regional and international situation," according to the Jordan News Agency (Petra).

In their talks, which took place at the Ittihadiya Palace in Cairo, the Egyptian president and the Jordanian monarch affirmed their pride in the level of distinguished relations that unite the two brotherly countries and peoples, and their keenness to strengthen them in various fields.

The two sides stressed the continuation of expanding bilateral cooperation between Jordan and Egypt, and the tripartite cooperation with Iraq, and building on the agreements concluded, in order to achieve common interests and serve Arab issues.

The talks dealt with the latest developments in the region and the world, as it was emphasized to maintain coordination and consultation on issues of common concern.

The Jordanian monarch arrived in Cairo earlier yesterday, on a short working visit to Egypt to discuss support for cooperation and the latest developments, and then left for Algeria.

The talks also dealt with supporting cooperation relations between Egypt and Jordan in all fields and ways to develop them in the coming period.

The Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ayman Safadi, arrived in Cairo on Friday evening from Italy, after his participation in the activities of the Rome Forum for Mediterranean Dialogue.

In Algeria, the Algerian presidency said that King Abdullah II of Jordan began yesterday a two-day visit to Algeria, at the invitation of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.

The Algerian presidency did not mention additional details about the visit or its content.

Tebboune and King Abdullah met in the Qatari capital, Doha, on the sidelines of the opening of the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar. It is noteworthy that the Jordanian king was absent from the Arab summit hosted by Algeria on the first and second of last month.

And the day before yesterday, Jordanian Minister of Industry, Trade, Supply and Labor, Youssef Al-Shamali, arrived on a working visit to Algeria.
