Bunches of cash suddenly poured into the middle of the highway, causing mayhem as drivers tried to pick up the money.

According to WHIO-TV, a local broadcasting media in Ohio, USA, on the 29th of last month (local time), drivers who were running on a highway in Warren County on this afternoon were surprised by cash pouring from the sky and stopped their cars.

People randomly stopped their cars and ran out onto the road to pick up bills falling from the sky or rolling on the ground, and the whole area became a mess.

After receiving a report that money was flying on the highway, the local police immediately rushed to the scene to prevent an accident.

When police arrived at the scene, people were frantic picking up the money, parked in the middle of the highway.

Some drivers were holding a plastic bag in one hand and actively picking up money.

"At first I thought the flying money was fake, but I soon found out it was 'real money,'" said one witness.

Some testified that "a backpack full of bills was thrown out of a mysterious vehicle on the highway."

Accordingly, the police are looking for the source of the money through CCTV footage.

The local police said, "We controlled the road for about an hour, collected bills that flew or fell to the ground, and cleaned up the scene."

He added that "there have been no reports of the loss of large amounts of cash" and that it has not been confirmed whether the banknotes are counterfeit.

Meanwhile, in November of last year, a similar accident occurred on a highway in San Diego, USA.

The accident became known when an eyewitness who was at the scene uploaded a video.

In the video, money is scattered all over the highway, and drivers who have left numerous vehicles parked outside are hurriedly picking up the money.

In particular, this video was used as useful evidence during the police investigation process, and later helped to find people who needed to get the money back.

A police investigation found that the back door of the bank's cash van accidentally opened, causing two bags of money to fall and wads of cash scattered on the street.

Authorities did not disclose the exact amount of money stolen from the vehicle, and arrested the two men red-handed for embezzling cash.

The authorities then emphasized to the people who picked up the money at the time to return the money, saying, "If you do not return it within 48 hours, you can face criminal charges."
