Xinhua News Agency, Shenyang, December 1 (Reporters Ding Feibai and Hong Kerun) The world's first alpine high-speed railway, the Harbin-Dalian high-speed railway, marks the 10th anniversary of its opening and operation on December 1.

In the past 10 years, the Harbin-Dalian high-speed railway has successfully handled nearly 600 wind and snow tests, operated a total of 739,000 trains, transported 670 million passengers safely, and operated 671.17 million kilometers.

The Harbin-Dalian high-speed railway is 921 kilometers long. It is located in the alpine region along the line, with frequent rain, snow and freezing weather in winter, and the maximum temperature difference between winter and summer is more than 70 degrees Celsius.

After years of independent exploration and innovation, the railway department has fully mastered the operation and maintenance technology of high-speed railways in high-cold regions, and overcome the problem of "frost heave" control of railway subgrades in high-cold regions.

Tang Yunpeng, director of the Shenyang EMU Technical Support Center, said: "At present, the Harbin-Dalian high-speed railway has formed a safety management system integrating infrastructure, mobile equipment, comprehensive inspection, disaster prevention and mitigation, and emergency rescue, and has established a system supporting high-cold high-speed railway safety management system. The guarantee system has filled the gaps in the world's alpine high-speed rail technology and ensured the safe and orderly operation of the Harbin-Dalian high-speed rail."

The opening of the Harbin-Dalian high-speed railway has also activated the potential of tourism projects such as "short-distance travel" and "weekend travel".

Relying on the Harbin-Dalian high-speed railway, the China Railway Shenyang Bureau Group Corporation has successively launched themed trains such as "Flower Appreciation Train", "Sea Catch Special Train" and "Ethnic Customs Special Train" to fully meet the travel needs of passengers.
