China News Service, December 2. According to Politico, the US political news website, Raytheon CEO Gregory Hayes said on the 1st that the United States is negotiating with some Middle Eastern countries and hopes to provide Ukraine with Transfer of the National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile System (NASAMS).

"The Middle East has the NASAMS system, and some of our NATO allies and the United States are currently negotiating with several Middle Eastern countries that have the system to export it to Ukraine," Hayes said.

Hayes also noted that it would be faster to transfer systems from the Middle East than to build them in the U.S., which will then gradually deliver new NASAMS systems to the Middle East over the next 24 months.

"It took 24 months to build the NASAMS system, but that doesn't mean it will only take 24 months to deliver it to other countries," Hayes said.

So far, the US Department of Defense spokesman has not yet responded to this statement.

Previously, the Pentagon stated on November 30 that the U.S. military and Raytheon signed a contract worth 1.2 billion U.S. dollars to purchase 6 sets of "National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile System" (NASAMS) for Ukraine.

It is reported that the United States has approved to provide Ukraine with a total of 8 sets of NASAMS air defense systems to help defend against Russian missile and drone attacks. Ukraine has received the first delivery of two sets of NASAMS air defense systems in November, and the rest will be delivered in the next Delivered after a few months of construction.
