The brief escapade of the five lions caused panic on November 2 at Taronga Zoo in Sydney (Australia).

The animal park published this Thursday, a month after the events, the video of the escape of Luzuko, Zuri, Khari, Malika and their father Ato, reports

in an article relayed by BFMTV.

We thus see them scratching the base of their enclosure, delimited by large Plexiglas panes, and slipping underneath to afford a few moments of freedom.

The felines finally returned to their enclosure on their own, called by mother Maya, who remained wisely there, and by zoo keepers.

“The five lions calmly ventured a few meters from their enclosure, before trying to turn back,” the zoo said, according to comments reported by

The entire zoo had been locked down in an emergency

On November 2, alarms sounded and the entire zoo was put on emergency lockdown due to the escape.

"This is a significant incident and a full review is underway to determine how the lions were able to exit their main enclosure," site manager Simon Duffy said.

An investigation is underway to try to determine the flaws that allowed the lions to dress up.

An expert is said to have already advised the zoo to install lattice fences.

The five lions have remained out of sight since the incident.

They shouldn't be back in their pen before Christmas.
