Pabriks, head of the Latvian Defense Ministry, urged to revoke the residence permit of Dozhd employees

Earlier, according to RIA Novosti, the head of the Latvian National Media Council, Ivars Abolins, said that the TV channel was fined €10,000 for showing a map with Crimea as part of Russia on its air.

According to Abolins, this is the second "serious violation" of "Rain"*.

“I believe that Dozhd * should go to work in Russia and the residence permit (from employees. -

) must be taken away,” Pabriks wrote on Twitter.

Part of the channel's team is now working from Georgia, and until recently the main studio was located in Riga, where, after moving from Russia, it was headed by editor-in-chief Tikhon Dzyadko**.

On March 3, 2022, the TV channel suspended its work on the territory of the Russian Federation after the Prosecutor General's Office demanded that access to its information resources be restricted on the network.
