Politics Congress clears the road of obstacles to repeal the crime of sedition before the end of the year
Coalition The PSOE and Yolanda Díaz's entourage now deny the aggressiveness of Irene Montero
Former Prime Minister Felipe González has criticized the proposed law of the PSOE and Unidas Podemos to eliminate the crime of sedition, which supported the convictions of the leaders of the 2017 independence process and which already passed its first vote in Congress last Thursday, at the same time that it has summoned the Executive to correct the "defective" law of 'only yes is yes' after the reductions in sentences for those convicted of sexual assaults
This is how González expressed himself in an interview on the program
Espejo Público
, on Antena 3.
Regarding the law of 'only yes is yes', the former socialist leader has assured that there is a "very defective invoice" and has summoned, in a veiled reference to the Minister of Equality, Irene Montero, to correct when one is wrong.
"When you make a mistake, which you even have the right to be wrong, you have to correct and not ask others to correct what you do wrong," he stressed.
On another point, González has rejected that the crime of sedition be called "public disorder" and has insisted that it does not conform to the reality of European legislation as justified by the Government.
"This is not public disorder. Therefore, if they have tried to classify what happened, then the classification is not readjusted to reality or has any comparison with any of the European legislation," González has sentenced.
