“Yesterday, December 1, 1,200 meters from the state border above the Mokrany checkpoint (on the Ukrainian side of Domanovo), at an altitude of about 300 meters, Belarusian border guards, together with servicemen of the Armed Forces, discovered a quadrocopter,” the ministry said in a statement.
As specified, the drone was heading from the Ukrainian side to the rear of the Belarusian territory.
“With the use of electronic weapons, the drone was forcibly landed,” the committee noted.
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said earlier at a meeting on the defense of the republic that all law enforcement agencies note an increase in the number of provocations near the border.
