A few days before the election of the new president of the Republicans party, Europe 1 takes you behind the scenes of each candidate in the campaign.

After Bruno Retailleau and Éric Ciotti, it was with Aurélien Pradié that Europe 1 experienced the home stretch of the LR campaign.

>> After Bruno Retailleau and Éric Ciotti, Europe 1 continues to bring you behind the scenes of the campaign for the presidency of the Republicans.

In this last episode, it was with Aurélien Pradié that Europe 1 was able to spend the day.

As he gets off his motorbike taxi, his steps are in a hurry.

And for good reason, 48 hours before the election of the president of the Republicans, Aurélien Pradié is preparing to hold his 78th public meeting in three months.

The campaign is coming to an end and more than ever, every voice counts.

"We are in the period when we convince. It is always exciting, until the last day, until the last hour, until the last minute", confides the deputy of Lot.

In Paris, far from his stronghold, the ranks are a little more sparse than two days before for the reception of Bruno Retailleau, but the welcome is warm.

"I have always won when I was not a favourite"

The youngest in the race for the presidency of LR knows full well that he is not a favorite, but that does not prevent him from unfolding his speech for almost an hour.

He even likes to defy predictions.

"I have always won when I was not a favourite," he said in front of LR supporters.

"And so, to be honest with you, the situation I'm in today is pretty good to me. I feel like history can repeat itself."

At only 36 years old, Aurélien Pradié makes his youth an asset and wants to embody the renewal of a party that no longer seduces.

"We need panache, a smile, to inspire. All of this is not a detail, it is perhaps even the main thing."

At the end of his meeting, it is always at a run that Aurélien Pradié returns to the National Assembly to defend his bill in favor of the creation of a special jurisdiction for domestic violence, a theme who is dear to him.

As for knowing if the one who for the time being secretary general of the Republicans will sit on the seat of president of his party, we still have to wait until the evening of Sunday, December 4.
