US State Department approves $380 million sale of Stinger missiles to Finland

This is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the Agency for Defense Cooperation.

According to the report, Helsinki requested 350 missiles and five flight tests. 

As a result, the State Department agreed on the transfer of portable FIM-92K Stinger missiles, their testing and the transfer of related equipment.

Earlier, Finnish President Sauli Niinistö said that the country does not intend to host nuclear weapons after joining NATO.
