China News Service, December 1 (Xinhua) Comprehensive US media reported on November 30 local time that the Ways and Means Committee of the US House of Representatives, led by the Democratic Party, has received six years of federal tax returns from former President Trump.

"Treasury is in compliance with last week's court decision," a Treasury spokesman said.
According to reports, the committee has been seeking to obtain Trump's tax records since 2019, but has repeatedly encountered obstacles.
A week ago, the U.S. Supreme Court rejected Trump's request for a stay of filing his tax returns, paving the way for the House Ways and Means Committee to obtain them.
The documents are not expected to be released to the public immediately.
US Consumer News and Business Channel (CNBC) stated that Trump broke decades of tradition by refusing to publicly release his tax returns, claiming that he did so because the information was being audited.
However, CNBC said there is no legal barrier preventing taxpayers from releasing their tax returns to the public.
Trump had slammed the ruling after the U.S. Supreme Court rejected Trump's request for a stay of filing his tax returns, saying that "handing over the returns is unprecedented and sets a terrible precedent for future presidents... ", accusing the conservative-dominated court of being "political" in its decision-making, "shame on them."
