“The Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee has completed a preliminary investigation against S. G. Tikhanovskaya in a special proceeding,” the department said in a Telegram message.
The criminal case was handed over to the Prosecutor General "to be sent to court."
Earlier, the Supreme Court of Belarus upheld the sentence of Sergei Tikhanovsky, the husband of ex-presidential candidate Svetlana Tikhanovskaya, to 18 years in prison.
Later, in Belarus, sentences were passed on three defendants in the case of a conspiracy to seize power - Yuri Zenkovich, Alexander Feduta and Grigory Kostusev.
