- We cannot say which unemployment fund it is.

The incident itself is concentrated on it, but so far no operations have been affected, says Tomas Eriksson, head of office at Sweden's unemployment insurance funds, to TT.

He cannot answer whether any sensitive information was leaked.

- That is what you are looking at now.

What has, or could have, happened, says Eriksson.

A crisis plan has been activated and the incident is being investigated together with operating suppliers and other experts, in order to minimize the risk of possible consequences.

- Now we look at what needs to be done going forward to repair what we see traces of, which should not be in the environment, says Tomas Eriksson.

Investigation may take several days

It may take one or more days before the investigation reaches a result, says Tomas Eriksson.

It cannot be more precise than that yet.

He says that the incident does not concern anything that has happened in the vulnerable social security fund's internal IT environment, but the common one between the social security funds.

- We work continuously with completely normal security operations, just like everyone else who conducts this type of business needs to do.

Sweden's unemployment insurance funds have submitted a report to the Swedish Agency for Social Security and Preparedness (MSB) and made a report to the Privacy Protection Authority.
