“At the Sary-Shagan training ground of the Strategic Missile Forces (Republic of Kazakhstan), the combat crew of the air and missile defense forces of the Russian Aerospace Forces successfully conducted another test launch of a new missile of the Russian missile defense system,” RIA Novosti reports.

According to Major General Sergei Grabchuk, Commander of the Anti-Missile Defense Unit of the Russian Aerospace Forces, the new missile confirmed the planned characteristics as a result of tests.

Earlier, the Russian Aerospace Forces launched a Soyuz-2.1b carrier rocket from the Plesetsk cosmodrome in the interests of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
