Friday weather: often gray and cold with a few snowflakes on the Auvergne mountains

The weather on Friday will still be gray, with high pressure conditions continuing across the country trapping moisture close to the ground, according to Météo France.

This will cause fog and gray weather over most of the country, except in Brittany and the South-East where the clearings will be present from the morning.

Like the day before, little change during the day, even if a few gaps will be possible in places, between Charente and Lozère for example.

On the North-East quarter, a little drizzle will not be excluded during the day under the thick clouds and some flakes will be possible above 500 meters.

Finally, the risk of showers will persist on the tip of Cotentin for the day and will appear on Corsica in the afternoon and evening.

During the following night, showers will also be possible in northern Brittany and Languedoc-Roussillon.

Falling night temperatures

Night temperatures are falling with frosts, -2 to +1 degree from Brittany to Hauts-de-France, north of Occitanie, in Provence, more locally in Burgundy-Franche-Comté, or in Auvergne where the thermometer may go down a little more.

Except in Corsica where the temperatures will be positive, everywhere else the values ​​will be between 0 and 3 degrees with local frosts.

Temperatures will struggle to rise in the afternoon with only 2 to 5 degrees in Hauts-de-France, Haute-Normandie, Ile-de-France, Grand Est, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, Auvergne.

It will be between 5 and 8 degrees in Lower Normandy, Brittany, Pays de la Loire, Centre-Val de Loire, New Aquitaine, Occitanie.

Finally, 8 to 11 degrees in the Basque Country, the tip of Brittany, around the Mediterranean and even up to 14 to 15 degrees on the Côte d'Azur and in Corsica.
