Former President Moon Jae-in made the first statement regarding the prosecution's investigation into the death of a South Korean public official from a North Korean gunshot in the West Sea.

He warned the current government and prosecutors not to cross the border, saying that he had personally heard the report on the incident and had finally approved it.

A day before the interrogation of the suspect before the arrest of former National Security Office chief Suh Hoon, who is accused of ordering the deletion of information related to the shooting of a public official in the West Sea, former President Moon Jae-in issued a statement on the investigation for the first time.

Former President Moon said that he personally listened to reports from the Ministry of National Defense, the Coast Guard, and the National Intelligence Service, and finally approved the West Sea incident, and accepted the judgment of the security ministries after looking at special information.

However, when the government changed, the information and circumstances were the same, but the conclusion was the opposite.

He warned against overstepping the line, saying he was deeply concerned about the indiscreet actions that crippled the security system.

Representatives from the Blue House of the former government said, "It seems that former President Moon's anger over the political retaliation that continues to take issue with policy judgments as judicial standards has crossed the critical point."

The power of the people is an investigation into whether there was an illegal act in the policy judgment process, and apologized to the bereaved family of the late Lee Dae-joon and asked them to tell the truth to the people.

The older brother of the deceased also refuted that the Moon Jae-in administration had forgotten about protecting the lives of the people and attempted manipulation first.

The president's office said, "It is not appropriate to comment on the matter under investigation," and the prosecution did not take a position.
