• Politics Adriana Lastra: the 'Rufian' style of Sánchez's right hand

At the end of last July, Adriana Lastra announced her resignation as Deputy Secretary General of the PSOE.

The until then

number two of the party assured that she was going through a complicated pregnancy

that needed rest in order to recover from some health problems derived from her condition.

Since then,

she has been on leave and has not been heard from since.

Now, the president of the Principality of Asturias, Adrián Barbón, has made it known that politics has already been a mother and that he is perfectly fine.

"There are news and days that fill me with joy. Today is one of those happy days,

because Alejandro, the son of Adriana Lastra and Hugo, has been born.

A huge kiss for him and his parents. And happy life, Alejandro. Long and full of adventures and that we can enjoy each one of them", wrote the socialist on Twitter.

In his message, he alludes to both Lastra and his partner, Hugo, a sentimental partner in politics who has remained anonymous to date.

For her part,

the Asturian has not yet spoken on social networks,

nor has she publicly released the news of the birth of her firstborn as her former party partner has.

Also from the PSOE account they have taken advantage of her to congratulate her publicly.

In its day, the resignation of Adriana Lastra was a great cause for controversy.

Both the PP and Vox

questioned the fact that the deputy resigned from her seat because of her pregnancy.

"This is not the path of equality, it is the loss with reinstatement in her functions," said the popular spokesperson Cuca Gamarra.

"I wish Adriana Lastra that everything goes very well,

but there must always be the possibility of not resigning, of not resigning,

whatever the responsibility of the position that she occupies."
