It is a significant gift as the holidays approach for many Val-de-Marnais households.

The Val-de-Marne department has planned an emergency support system, accessible from Thursday for its inhabitants on low incomes but not eligible for the state energy check.

This energy aid of up to 50 euros per household, for a total of 2.5 million euros, is fully paid for by the department and should help residents cope with the current energy crisis.

"With this strong measure, we want to help households with the lowest incomes, but also the working poor who hear about aid but never benefit from it", underlines Olivier Capitanio.

The department adds that this flat-rate aid will be paid regardless of the energy used.

The funds used come for a large part from the reallocation of credits previously used for the Solidarity Day and the Val-de-Marne solidarity aid.

This energy aid was validated during its Standing Committee on November 28, 2022, as well as its terms of allocation.

Thus, depending on the composition of the household and the reference tax income, the aid will be released after request via the online service or by downloading the form directly from the valdemarne.fr website.
