Two young people aged 16 and 17 have been seriously injured when they were stabbed tonight when they were in the Empress María de Austria Park, in the Madrid district of Carabanchel in the capital.

The event, which is being investigated by the National Police, occurred shortly before 9:00 p.m. this Wednesday in the aforementioned park, which is located next to Plaza Elíptica and runs parallel to the A-42.

The first police hypothesis is that the minors may have been victims of a robbery by members of a Latin gang when they were in the park.

Witnesses say they have seen the alleged criminals running and that they looked like they were members of a gang.

The agents comb this park in search of the perpetrators and the weapons used.

One of the assaulted lives near the scene of the attack.

The Samur-Civil Protection doctors went to the scene and treated a 16-year-old boy with several stab wounds, one of them penetrating the left kidney area.

After being stabilized, he was taken to Hospital 12 Octubre in serious condition.

The other victim is a 17-year-old young man of Spanish nationality who suffered less serious stab wounds to a thigh and a twin, and was evacuated to Gregorio Marañón, added the Emergencies spokesperson.
