Taiwan People's Party Chairman and Taipei Mayor Ke Wenzhe recently talked about his next step after retiring as mayor, saying that he was seconded that year, so he will report back to National Taiwan University Hospital after the handover on December 25.

Wu Mingxian said on the 29th that (Ke Wenzhe) will return after the 8-year secondment period expires, "this is normal", there is nothing special about it, it is just a normal procedure.

Ke Wenzhe did not hold an administrative position before he became the mayor of Taipei, and there are other professors at National Taiwan University who did not hold administrative positions concurrently. The work of physicians at National Taiwan University Hospital includes teaching, research, and service. The Department decided that the Department of Trauma Medicine, where Ke Wenzhe worked in the past, was subordinate to the Department of Surgery.

Ni Yanxuan, dean of the National Taiwan University School of Medicine, emphasized that the future work content still needs to respect Ke Wenzhe's personal wishes. The medical school will understand Ke Wenzhe's thoughts and his formal hopes, and make arrangements after discussion.

Ni Yanxuan said that the discussion is expected to include the willingness to invest in teaching and research, whether to engage in political work, work allocation, etc. The discussion will take some time and should not come to a conclusion so quickly.
