- With the current situation in Ukraine, it is a matter of course for us to donate these ambulances.

They will be of great benefit to Ukraine, unfortunately it seems that ambulances are targets in this war and they will then quickly become a scarce commodity, says Mikael Johansson (M), chairman of the regional board.

The decision is described as a deviation from the routines that the region has, which Fredrik Dahlberg, operations manager for the ambulance operations in Kronoberg, says is gratifying.

- This means that the ambulances can continue to be useful in a severely tested Ukraine.

The vehicles have already been taken out of service and replaced with new ambulances after many assignments in Region Kronoberg's service, he says.

The ambulances will be driven down to Ukraine with the help of the charity Help Ukraine Gothenburg.
