A woman was attacked in a hotel in Lisieux (Calvados), this Sunday.

She filed a complaint and a 47-year-old man, suspected of being the attacker, was arrested, reports

The facts occurred at the beginning of the afternoon when the victim was walking in a hallway using his walker.

Her attacker then pounced on her in an attempt to steal things from her.

According to a police source, he had already spotted her earlier in a store.

Custody

Aided by the description provided by the hotel manager, the police arrested the forties near the station two hours later.

Heard in police custody, he would have admitted the facts.

The police also highlighted "six other facts of simple theft and fraudulent use of contactless bank cards, dating back to November", they said.

The man, already known to the police for previous thefts, was remanded in custody.

He will be tried on January 20, 2023.
