He said this during a meeting with participants in the Dialogue for the Future program.
“We are concerned about the rapid evolution of the North Atlantic Alliance, including in the context of the war unleashed by the West against us in Ukraine and global security,” TASS quoted him as saying.
He also recalled that until recently everyone was convinced that the North Atlantic Alliance is a defensive alliance, which is only engaged in protecting the territories of NATO member countries.
Lavrov also stated the need to avoid a military clash between nuclear powers.
