The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that strategic bombers of the Russian Air Force and the Chinese Air Force conducted joint patrols over the Sea of ​​Japan and the East China Sea, according to what was reported by the Russian “Sputnik” news agency, yesterday, while combat planes took off from South Korea, after the entry of Chinese and Russian planes into the area. its air defense.

The Russian Ministry of Defense said in a statement: “The Russian Air Force and the Air Force of the People’s Liberation Army of China conducted another joint air patrol in the Asia-Pacific region, and the air group consisted of strategic missile carriers (Tu-95MS) of the Russian Air Force. The Hong-6K strategic bombers of the Chinese Air Force.

The ministry noted that the joint air patrols between Russia and China in the Asia-Pacific region are not directed against third countries.

And she added that the flight time of Russian strategic aircraft was about eight hours.

The plane was escorted by the Su-30SM and Su-35S fighters of the Russian Aerospace Forces.

She explained that the Russian Air Force planes landed for the first time at an airport in the People's Republic of China, and a Chinese plane landed at an airport on the territory of the Russian Federation, as part of the patrols with the Air Force of the People's Republic of China, and the statement also indicated that at some stages of the path, the strategic missile carriers were accompanied fighters from foreign countries.

On the other hand, the South Korean army said that it had ordered the immediate take-off of combat aircraft, after two Chinese warplanes and six Russian warplanes entered the South Korean air defense zone, yesterday.

The Joint Chiefs of Staff in Seoul said the two Chinese H-6 bombers had repeatedly entered and exited South Korea's air defense zone off the south and northeastern coasts.

The authority indicated that the two planes returned to the region hours later from the direction of the Sea of ​​Japan, known in Korea as the East Sea, and were joined by Russian warplanes, pointing out that the planes did not violate South Korean airspace.

The air defense zone differs from the airspace of any country, as it is the area in which countries may require foreign aircraft to take certain measures to determine their identity to prevent accidental clashes.
