Jin-seok Jeong, chairman of the People’s Power Emergency Response Committee, criticized the Democratic Party’s proposal to dismiss Minister Lee Sang-min of the Ministry of Public Administration and Security as “a self-contradictory politics.”

Chairman Chung met with reporters at the National Assembly on the morning of the 30th and pointed out, "In the plan for the government investigation, the Minister of Public Administration and Security is specified as the subject of investigation, but the minister under investigation will be dismissed before the investigation begins."

He then said, "If the president refuses (the dismissal proposal), (the minister) will be impeached (they say)" and "This is not some kind of blackmail or intimidation.

At the same time, he said, "The Democratic Party is unable to explain why it is a sudden dismissal proposal and impeachment," and "It can only be interpreted as avoiding its own party's judicial risk." .

In an earlier post on social media, Chairman Chung pointed out to the Democratic Party, "We are driving our entire society into a swamp of ignorance and irrationality in order to cover up the corruption of the party's presidential election fund."

Chairman Chung said, "Even if CEO Lee Jae-myung proposes a proposal to dismiss the Minister of Public Administration and Security and turns the National Assembly into chaos with a state affairs investigation, (CEO Lee's) presidential election fund corruption is nothing but presidential election fund corruption." If we can't do that, the Republic of Korea cannot survive."

"I warn the Democratic Party that is trying to use the Itaewon disaster for political purposes," he said. "The National Assembly is a place that represents the interests of the people, not the interests of lawmakers. Stop doing bad things and return to the National Assembly right away." I did.
