A man was reportedly deliberately hit by a vehicle during a fight with another man, which occurred in Roumoules (Alpes-de-Haute-Provence), on the night of Friday to last Saturday.
The two men had made an appointment in an establishment to settle a love dispute concerning a woman, reports BFM DICI.
Open investigation
The latter would be in a relationship with one of them and would have been previously with the other man.
During their discussion, the situation would have degenerated and the first would then have thrown an object similar to a bar chair on the car of the second.
It was then that the ex-companion, driving his vehicle, would have darkened in his direction to hit him.
The victim was injured and had to be hospitalized before being released the next day.
According to Rémy Avon, public prosecutor of Digne-les-Bains, an investigation was opened and entrusted to the gendarmerie.
The investigations will have to shed light on the circumstances of the facts and identify the people involved in the fight.
