A 12-year-old child was arrested on Monday in Limoges (Haute-Vienne) for an armed robbery in a bakery.

, he had entered the business with two other teenagers.

Armed with a handgun, he threatened the saleswoman before snatching the payment terminal and fleeing.

His two accomplices had stolen products before leaving the scene.

The young boy was identified thanks to the photos and videos provided by the manager of the bakery to the police.

The latter suspect the teenager of having participated in urban violence last summer, indicates France Bleu.

Last October, he also punched a 19-year-old woman and stole her phone and computer.

The teenager had threatened the student to sexually assault him.

Summoned by a children's judge

After his arrest on Monday, the young suspect was placed in detention for twelve hours (according to the legal regime concerning minors from 10 to 13 years old).

He would have admitted the facts for the robbery of the bakery, but would deny his involvement in the urban violence of the summer.

He will soon be summoned by a juvenile judge for the armed robbery.
