, one of Democratic Party leader Lee Jae-myeong's aides, was handed over to trial.

It is a charge of publishing false information under the Public Official Election Act.

The prosecution took issue with comments made by Deputy Chief Kim in the name of the camp spokesman when Lee ran for the Incheon Gyeyang by-election in the first half of this year.

In a commentary, Deputy Chief Kim argued that the power of the people, a 25-year-old Gyeyang person, Yoon Hyung-seon, incited candidate Lee Jae-myeong to say that he had no connection to Gyeyang, but in fact he was a 'fake Gyeyang person' who lived only on the '21st'.

Deputy Chief Kim, a former journalist, is also known as Lee Jae-myung, such as a spokesperson for Seongnam City and a press secretary for Gyeonggi-do.

A high-ranking official from the prosecution said, "It was confirmed that Candidate Yoon had lived in the Gyeyang area for a much longer period than on the 21st."

Regarding this, Deputy Chief Kim said, "I made a comment as it was in the media report at the time," and said, "The prosecution unilaterally accepted the people's strength argument and intended to harass the people around Representative Lee and the Democratic Party."

Within the party, former vice president Kim Yong,

Pro-Lee Jae-myeong, the top member of the group, said, "We must listen to various opinions inside and outside the party, but at times like this, we must come together tightly."

On the other hand, Lee Jae-myeong-gye, a senior lawmaker, said, "It is common sense to apologize in front of the public when one after another causes controversy," and said, "A direct apology from Lee is necessary."
