When they arrived, the owner of the premises was trying to put out the flames that were attacking his garage with a garden hose.
The man told law enforcement his motorcycles caught fire and his children were still inside the house with their dog.
“They were scared”
Without hesitation, two police officers climbed the gate to enter the apartment.
“I told the little one to put on a jacket and the big one to find him some shoes.
They were frightened and a little lost,” testified an agent.
He took care of the children while his colleague took care of the sleeping dog.
An official then took over from the father of the family and hosed down the walls of the house to prevent the fire from spreading there.
Firefighters responded immediately and brought the blaze under control, causing no injuries.
