The Kurdish SDF Alliance asked Russia to help protect its territories in Syria

“We asked the Russians to initiate an agreement on coordinating actions with Damascus to protect our territory,” RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

Khan noted that Russian representatives, at a meeting with representatives of the alliance, presented him with Turkey's conditions, which "were rejected."

Earlier, the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said that the level of relations between Russia and Turkey makes it possible to resolve differences over Syria through negotiations.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said he does not rule out the normalization of relations with Syria in the near future.
