In connection with today's NATO meeting, the foreign ministers from Turkey, Sweden and Finland also met to discuss Sweden's and Finland's NATO applications.

After the meeting, there is silence from the Swedish side.

SVT's Turkey correspondent Tomas Thorén interprets it as the application process standing still.

- That there are no signs of a breakthrough in the talks, he says.

The other country that has not yet approved Sweden's and Finland's application is Hungary.

SVT's European correspondent, David Boati, believes that Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has difficulty choosing a side in the conflict between Ukraine and Russia.

- You don't sell weapons to Ukraine and you don't agree to certain sanctions against Russia, you still buy Russian gas.

Orbán is generally considered to be Putin's best friend in the EU, says David Boati.
