is the news of the cargo strike that continues for the sixth day.

The government sent a 'work start order' to cement transportation workers among the strikers.

The government is in the position that it can extend the order to truck drivers in other industries depending on the situation in the future.

First of all, I am reporter Park Won-kyung.

As previously announced, President Yoon Seok-yeol deliberated and decided on an order to start operations for the cement transport workers who participated in the cargo union strike.

This is the first order issued since it was introduced in the Lorry Act in 2004.

He urged strikers to return to work, saying that once the economy stops, it is difficult to turn back.

[President Yoon Seok-yeol: In the face of an economic crisis, the minds of the government, people, and labor and management cannot be different.]

In particular, mentioning the iron ball attack on those who did not participate in the strike, he emphasized that he would hold responsibility for illegal acts to the end.

[President Yoon Seok-yeol: During my term of office, I will firmly establish the rule of law between labor and management, and I will never compromise with illegality.]

The government is aware that construction is expected to be suspended at most construction sites across the country, with cement shipments decreasing by more than 90% compared to normal. I heard the reason.

[Won Hee-ryong/Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport: Considering the scale of damage and ripple effects, etc., it is activated for the cement sector where normalization of logistics is deemed most urgent.]

An official from the presidential office said that after examining the damage caused by the strike, the number of industries subject to the business start order may be expanded through a cabinet meeting.

The government decided to extend the fare system for three years to abolish the sunset of the safe fare system requested by the cargo union, and since the items requested for expansion are relatively high-wage industries, the strike has no justification.

From today (the 29th), the government conducted on-site inspections of 201 cement transporters across the country and began sending orders to those confirmed to have refused to transport them. We will announce the business start order on the Internet, etc.
