Polish women gathered Monday evening to demonstrate their anger outside the house of Jaroslaw Kaczynski, leader of the ruling Law and Justice party.

He multiplies the mockery of feminist associations, and a few days ago, he affirmed, without proof, that if the birth rate was low in Poland, it was because women drank too much alcohol.

Words that no longer pass for certain.

Jaroslaw Kaczynski's sexist remarks are multiplying.

But his recent remarks on women and alcohol no longer pass for those who came to demonstrate in front of his house, like Yelena: “

We are here to demand justice, justice for women's bodies.

This kind of statement belittles women and gives us a sense of guilt, and in them takes advantage to take more and more rights from us.

 »

And when Yelena sees the hundreds of police surrounding the demonstration, she does not feel safe to be a woman demonstrating for her rights: "

I feel that the government does not support us, neither me, nor my body, nor my rights.

 »

A political strategy?

Some see it as a political strategy, in view of the next elections.

He tries to make fun of everyone who doesn't vote for him.

It's the only thing he can do.

He brings together his most loyal electorate, most of the time the older generation, and seeks a culprit for everything that is wrong in the country

, ”analyzes Weronika, one of the protesters.

But problem, the message will not be received.

Jaroslaw Kaczynski was not at home at the time of the demonstration, and he contented himself with saying in a press release that he would not take into account the anger of those who demonstrate for their rights.
