A fire in a shop in a multi-family building in central Hedemora broke out late on Monday evening and the entire property had to be evacuated.
Several residents were in the property when the fire broke out.
A grocery store was housed in the premises.
Following the fire, one person was treated on site by paramedics.
Not arisen "by itself"
The police have started a preliminary investigation regarding aggravated arson.
No one has been arrested at this time.
- The fire is nothing that has arisen by itself, says police spokesperson Lars Hedelin to Södra Dalarnas Tidning.
People who made observations before and during the start of the fire are asked to contact the police on phone 114 14, enter "tip" in the voicemail for quick connection to the operator.
