Yesterday, the head of the Sudanese Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, issued a "decision to freeze the activity of unions, professional federations, and the General Federation of Employers," according to a statement issued by the council.

In a subsequent decision, he ordered the formation of a committee to review the balances and accounts of these federations inside and outside Sudan, to put them under control.

On the other hand, the Vice-President of the Sudanese Sovereignty Council and Commander of the Rapid Support Forces, Mohamed Hamdan Daglo, confirmed that there is no way to return to before the 2018 revolution, which is the era in which the Brotherhood ruled Sudan for 30 years.

In a speech to a group of leaders of the civil administrations in the country, Daglo criticized the double dealings with the demonstrators demanding civil rule on the one hand, and the others supporting the October 25 measures from the elements of the former regime and the parties allied with them.

Daglo had surprisingly announced in August the failure of the measures taken by Army Commander Abdel Fattah al-Burhan in October 2021, which ended the partnership between civilians and the military after the overthrow of the “Brotherhood” regime in a popular revolution in April 2019.
