It is probably a new record in northern Sweden.

A week ago, when electricity in the north cost SEK 2.78, some electricity price experts told TT that it was likely new price records.

In the two more southern electricity areas, Svealand and Götaland, the price rises to SEK 3:90/kWh on average over the day.

Both in the north and the south, the price reaches peaks of over five kroner for a few hours in the late afternoon.

On Monday, electricity cost just over two kroner on average over the day in all of Sweden.

On top of these prices, the electricity company's mark-up, taxes, VAT and electricity grid fee are added.
