But the tough economic situation that prevails means that the municipality saved up on these firs this year.

Something that didn't stop the village team in Laholm, however, who organized Operation Christmas Tree.

Long tradition

- It is not just a fir, it is a symbol of traditions and something that binds us together, says Dag Gustavsson, chairman of the village association, who received the fir donated from Dag's parents who own a forest.

Self-fixed Christmas trees have appeared in several places in Laholm municipality where residents have come together to save the Christmas spirit.
