Acting head of the LPR Leonid Pasechnik wrote about this on Telegram.

“Particular attention should be paid to the families of servicemen participating in the NMD, migrants and all those who find themselves in a difficult life situation.

I propose to abandon expensive celebrations and corporate parties, sending funds to support our army, ”he said.

Pasechnik stressed that "the New Year will take place in the Lugansk People's Republic."

Earlier in St. Petersburg, they decided to cancel the planned festive events on the occasion of the New Year.

Canceled, including the concert on Palace Square and fireworks, and the savings will be used to equip the volunteers and mobilized.

A similar decision was made in Nizhny Novgorod.

After that, the Russian Ministry of Defense stated that there was no need to cancel New Year's events in the regions in order to direct the saved funds to the needs of the military, and the Russian Armed Forces had all the necessary equipment to provide each military man both in the special operation areas and in the places of training mobilized.
