A motorist, suspected of having hit two schoolgirls on November 24, on a pedestrian crossing, near the establishment where they are educated, in Béziers (Hérault), was arrested and placed under judicial supervision, indicates the prosecution.

The man, who has never been sentenced by the courts, will be tried on February 1, before the criminal court.

The driver is accused of having fled, without worrying about the state of the victims.

Luckily, the two schoolgirls did not need to be hospitalized.

They were prescribed a total incapacity for work of two days for one, and one day for the other.

During his police custody, the man claimed "to have passed the green light and not to have seen the victims before the shock", relates the parquet floor of Béziers.

He also explained “his escape by panic, not knowing what to do.

“He will be tried for involuntary injuries, aggravated by a hit and run.

Until then, he no longer has the right to drive.
